Pull out the main body, or plunger, of the grinder, and place whole spices in the base. Replace the plunger and turn clockwise while applying pressure. In seconds you’ll have finely ground spices ready for cooking.

Ready-ground spices lose their potency faster than whole spices – especially if they’ve been sitting in the cupboard for a while. The spice grinder is also a handy storage pot for leftover whole spices. Unscrew the top of the plunger to reveal an air-tight compartment.
